Alison, Your Travel Agent

I have been working in travel since 2016. I entered this industry out of a personal love and passion for researching and discovering new places and experiences. My career started with Mickey Mouse! I started, and continue to be a Disney expert…and have expanded from there. Families enjoyed working with me to plan and book their Disney vacation, and then wanted to go somewhere else, and wanted to continue to partner with me…..so with their expansion, I also expanded. Now I book ALL types of travel, to anywhere on this pretty planet that you want to explore.

I am an independent agent under the host agency, The Travel Agent Next Door. I am certified with TICO – the Travel Industry Council of Ontario. I work quite a bit with travellers from Burlington and Oakville, but also from all over Ontario, Quebec, BC, and into the United States….but wherever you live, I would be delighted to help!

Experience and knowledge

I’ve had the opportunity to visit may beautiful places, across several continents….South Africa, Botswana, Peru, Germany, Austria, Scotland, Jordan, India, Australia, Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico, Zimbabwe, Mexico, Jamaica, Dominical Republic, Caribbean Islands, Italy, France and of course all of the US and our beautiful Canada!

My experience with researching and visiting these places enables me to support your travel dreams with the knowledge to present you with the best fit for your travel wishes. From small group guided tours, all-inclusive resorts, theme park vacations, self-drive itineraries, European train travel, African Safaris and river and ocean cruises, I have the depth of knowledge, experience AND an extensive network of travel colleagues to support any trip you dream of taking.

A little more about me

I graduated from the University of Guelph with a degree in Nutritional Science, from there I worked in Career Services at the University of Guelph-Humber and McMaster University for 18 years. I now work part-time in Admission at a private high school in conjunction with helping people’s travel dreams come to fruition.

My husband and two teenagers also have a love for travel, just like me.

I’m involved in my local church and enjoy volunteering at Kerr Street Mission in Oakville. I am energised by being around people and enjoy running and burning energy at the gym. And of course, I love to dream about and plan my own travel – I always have a few trips in the works! My upcoming adventures are to Jordan, Namibia and back to Machu Picchu in Peru.
